Parents should be reminded that temperatures inside vehicles could climb up to a whopping 140 degrees and cause respiratory or circulatory failure in children. Kids can get hyperthermia in 15-20 minutes and can die in less than a half hour. Do not leave children in the car unattended for any reason, even for a few minutes, cautions ACSH's Dr. Gilbert Ross.
