Which Environmental Groups Hated Us This Weekend, & More Media Links

1. An unknown environmental group got a gaggle of activists together and tried to get us banned in Google as a spam site. Google is terrific about responding, of course, but they are also good about checking on those things to see, so we were back up and running soon enough. They also paid someone to do a Distributed Denial of Service (DD0S) attack, which knocked off our site for a little bit. We are still tracking the location of the attack but our server company kicked into gear to stop them.

Anti-science Deniers for Hire are a $1 billion industry and filled with hatred for humans and the modern world.  They are also terrified that the public has increasingly seen through their nefarious tactics and hope that Black Hat tactics, similar to what Greenpeace did to Best Buy when they didn't cave into extortion, will accomplish what they can't do with their corporate marketing money.

Like the company standing up to Greenpeace, we will act accordingly if we find out the real source of the attacks.

2. You knew this: Genetically engineered crops are safe. It's election season so the predictable 'our side has science on its side' claims are out in force, but one side invariably is anti-medicine, anti-energy and anti-farmer while the other is not. They are increasingly being shown for what they are - engaged in a war on progress.

In Heartlander digital magazine, Ken Artz discusses the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine report on genetically modified foods and quotes me. I remember his phone call because he rang just as media savant Ana Dolaski began a Facebook Live media event, which meant I could not be pithy and brilliant on camera.

Also, I do not get a lot of incoming calls so it sticks out in my memory. When you run a non-profit, no one wants to call you on the phone, because you will ask for money.

But not from journalists. Call any time. Especially if you know which Denier for Hire is paying people to hack our site.
