A recently published study further substantiates the safety of cell phone use amid widespread rumors that they can cause cancer in children living near cell phone towers.

The study, published in the British Medical Journal, could not establish a link between proximity to cell phone towers and cancer risk in children whose mothers were pregnant while living near such towers. Dr. Whelan points out that the study came out yesterday, the same day that the San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a mandate that cell phone manufacturers reveal the amount of radiation produced by their phones.

"This study is one of many that continue to prove that cell phone exposure does not pose a significant health risk," says Dr. Ross.
