Breast Cancer Awareness month

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women, a staggering statistic; however, it is a treatable disease with effective screening.

Given the preponderance of pink bows and media or community saturation of the subject of breast cancer in the month of October, especially, it is not unusual for us to get awareness fatigue.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus recently announced her breast cancer diagnosis.  This announcement is very timely since  October has been designated as breast cancer awareness month.
